Terms of Service

These terms apply to all use of Astrolium — the free tier, Pro at $29/month, and Business at $99/month. Read them once. They are written in plain language because the standard legal style is how companies hide things. For the related documents, see the privacy policy, the pricing page, and the security page.

1. The agreement

These terms form a contract between you ("you," "the customer") and ProCoders OU, an Estonian company (registry code 14534812) operating Astrolium. Registered office at Sepapaja 6, Tallinn 15551, Estonia. Operating office at Avenida Defensores de Chaves 15 6B, 1000-091 Lisboa, Portugal.

By creating an account, paying for a subscription, or using the free tier without an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Astrolium.

You must be at least 18 years old to accept these terms and create an account.

2. The service

Astrolium is an AI-first professional astrology workspace combining:

• Chart calculation using the Swiss Ephemeris (DE431 precision) across 23 house systems
• Client CRM with encrypted storage of birth data, session notes, and reading history
• AI-assisted interpretation drafts (powered by Anthropic Claude)
• Branded PDF report generation
• Cross-platform browser access on Mac, PC, iPad, and Android

The calculation layer underneath Astrolium is the same engine that powers astrology-api.io, our developer API product run by the same team.

Astrology is not medical, legal, financial, or psychiatric advice. Astrolium produces calculations and interpretations for reflection and practice. It is not a diagnostic tool. Decisions about health, money, relationships, or law should be made with a qualified professional in that field. This is both a legal disclaimer and practical guidance.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity under your account. Tell us at security@astrolium.com if you suspect unauthorized access; we will lock the account, walk you through recovery, and send you a security log of recent sessions.

One person, one account. The Pro tier covers one practitioner; the Business tier supports teams (additional seats included in the price). Astrolium does not enforce this with surveillance, but if a team is sharing one login that should be on Business, please switch.

You may not create an account for someone else without their consent or operate an account on behalf of a banned user.

4. Subscription tiers and payment

Current pricing (also on the pricing page):

• Free — Unlimited chart calculation, basic CRM (up to 10 clients), no AI interpretation, watermarked PDF.
• Pro — $29/month or $290/year — Full CRM (unlimited clients), AI interpretation, branded PDF reports, all chart types, priority email support.
• Business — $99/month or $990/year — Pro features plus team seats, white-label PDF reports, 4-hour support SLA during business hours, and the API quota inherited from astrology-api.io.

Prices are in USD. Astrolium charges applicable VAT for EU consumers. Payment is processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers.

Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually until you cancel. Cancellation is one click in account settings and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refunds

• Annual plans — 14-day money-back guarantee, full refund, no questions asked. After day 14, no pro-rated refund for the unused portion.
• Monthly plans — No refund for the current month. The cancellation takes effect at the next renewal date.
• Service-credit refunds — If we miss the uptime SLA in a given month (see Section 9), we credit a pro-rated refund automatically without requiring you to ask.

The free tier is genuinely free. We will never surprise-bill you.

6. Auto-renewal and cancellation

All paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from account settings; cancellation is immediate (no retention dark patterns) and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access for the remainder of the paid period.

We send a renewal-reminder email 7 days before annual plans renew. If you missed the cancellation window and the renewal was unintentional, write to support@astrolium.com within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

• Use Astrolium to harass, threaten, stalk, dox, or harm anyone, including any person whose birth data you enter into the system.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or replicate the service to build a competing product.
• Charge for "Astrolium-powered" readings or reports without disclosing to your client that Astrolium is the underlying tool. Charging for your interpretive work using Astrolium as a tool is fine — that is exactly the Pro and Business tiers.
• Attempt to break into, overload, exfiltrate from, or otherwise interfere with the service or other customers' data.
• Build any product on top of Astrolium that uses astrological calculations to make medical, legal, or financial decisions about a person without that person's informed consent.
• Use the AI interpretation feature to generate content for resale as a standalone product (e.g., an automated horoscope service). The interpretations are intended as a drafting aid for practitioners, not a content factory.

We warn first, suspend second, ban third. You can appeal a ban once at appeals@astrolium.com; a different person reviews the appeal than the one who imposed it.

8. Intellectual property

Your data is yours. You retain ownership of all data you enter into Astrolium — your own charts, your clients' charts, your session notes, your interpretation text, your uploaded documents. You grant Astrolium a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process this data solely to provide the service to you. We claim no other rights.

Our software is ours. The Astrolium application — rendering engine, predictive techniques, AI prompt frameworks, design system, brand, documentation — is the property of ProCoders OU. We license you the right to use it for the duration of your subscription. The license terminates when your subscription ends.

The astrology-api.io calculation engine underneath Astrolium is also ProCoders OU intellectual property and is licensed separately at astrology-api.io for developers who want direct API access.

9. Service availability and SLA

Astrolium targets 99.9% uptime, measured monthly, excluding scheduled maintenance announced 7 days in advance.

If we miss the SLA on a Pro or Business subscription in a given calendar month, the next invoice is automatically credited:

• Below 99.9% → 10% credit
• Below 99.0% → 25% credit
• Below 95.0% → 50% credit
• Below 90.0% → 100% credit

You do not need to ask. Credits appear on the next invoice. Real-time uptime is on the status page and historical incidents are public.

Emergency maintenance happens occasionally and we apologize for it without ceremony.

10. Data export on cancellation

When you close your account, Astrolium provides a one-click export of all your data as a single JSON archive. The export covers your client roster, all chart data, session notes, interpretation drafts, and uploaded files. The export remains available for 30 days after cancellation; after 30 days, all data is permanently deleted from the primary store and from backups (see the privacy policy for the deletion timeline).

If you cancel by mistake and reactivate within 30 days, your data is restored. After 30 days it is gone and cannot be recovered.

11. Warranties and disclaimers

Astrolium is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of vulnerabilities. We do not warrant the accuracy of astrological calculations beyond what the underlying Swiss Ephemeris implementation provides, and we do not warrant the accuracy of AI-generated interpretation drafts (the drafts are a starting point for the practitioner, not a finished reading).

Statutory consumer warranties under EU and Estonian law are not excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Estonian law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Astrolium is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of data beyond the recovery the export feature provides.

We are not liable for decisions you or your clients make based on astrological interpretations produced by the service. Astrology is reflective practice, not deterministic prediction. See Section 2.

This is the standard liability clause and we are sorry it has to exist. In practice, if something goes wrong on our end, we fix it, credit where appropriate, and tell you what happened in writing.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Estonian law. The courts of Tallinn, Estonia have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory EU consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your country of residence.

If you are an EU consumer, you also have the right to use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated to participate and we generally do not, because email and a direct refund are faster than the platform.

If you have a dispute, please email legal@astrolium.com first. We respond within 7 days and resolve most disputes without involving courts.

14. Changes to these terms

If we materially change these terms, we email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You may close your account before that date if you disagree, and we will refund any unused portion of an annual subscription. Minor changes (clarifications, typo fixes, sub-processor updates) are made without notice and noted in the "Last updated" date at the top.

Continued use of the service after a material change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for:

• Material breach of these terms (most often, acceptable-use violations)
• Non-payment after 14 days past due, after at least two written notices
• Suspected fraud or chargeback abuse
• A legal order requiring us to do so

On termination for cause, you retain the same 30-day export window described in Section 10 unless retention is prohibited by law.
