- BYOK is "bring your own key." If you already have an OpenRouter or other model-provider account, you connect your API key in settings — Astrolium routes AI calls through your account and you pay the provider directly. AI usage becomes unlimited, with no change to your Astrolium invoice. Available on Adept and Master only. We never store the key in plaintext.

Pull up your own chart and a date you actually lived through, and check whether the picture matches. Most practitioners hit the 5-client limit within a month, then upgrade to Pro ($11) for the full predictive stack and chart suite, or Adept ($29) for the client-management layer on top.
- When should I upgrade from Pro to Adept?
- The moment your client list outgrows manual tracking, or your work leans specialist: Transit Scanner queries your whole roster instead of one chart at a time, your Knowledge Base grows from 100 MB to 1 GB, and Horary, Electional Search, and Zodiacal Releasing are Adept-only. Pro already ships the full chart suite (synastry, composite, Davison, returns), the full predictive stack (transits, progressions, solar arc, profections), Report Studio, and a starter Knowledge Base — Adept is about running a practice at scale or reading question and event-timing charts, not the everyday techniques.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Monthly plans cancel anytime via the dashboard — no email or phone call required. Your data exports as JSON before cancellation. Cancelled accounts downgrade to Free (5 most-recent clients retained), not deleted.
- Do you offer annual pricing?
- Yes. Annual is roughly two months free across every paid tier: Pro $110/yr ($9.17/mo), Adept $290/yr ($24.17/mo), Master $790/yr ($65.83/mo). Switch from monthly to annual in the billing dashboard at any time.

- What happens if I exceed my AI credit quota mid-month?
- Credits beyond your tier's quota queue politely — the assistant will tell you you've hit the cap and offer to either pause until the month rolls over or upgrade you in-place. No surprise charges, no overage billing. Adept and Master can connect their own OpenAI or Anthropic key (BYOK) to remove the cap entirely.
- Can I buy extra AI credits or team seats?
- Yes. Pro, Adept, and Master can each add +100 AI credits/mo for $9/mo on top of their plan's base allowance. Master can also add an extra team seat for $21/mo, beyond the 3 included. Both renew with your billing cycle and can be added or removed independently of your plan.
- Can I switch between Monthly and Annual?
- Yes, anytime. Switching from Monthly to Annual is prorated against the cheaper rate, so you only pay the delta. Switching from Annual back to Monthly takes effect at your next renewal — your current annual term runs out first.
- Do you offer a student discount?
- Yes — 50% off Adept for verified students of any astrology school (Kepler, Faculty of Astrological Studies, RASA, Avalon, JAI, etc.) and degree-program students at any accredited university. Email [email protected] with proof of enrollment.
- What if I run a school, coven, or studio?
- Master ships with 3 team seats out of the box and a shared client roster. For 6+ seats we have an Enterprise plan with SSO, audit logs, custom retention policies, and bulk migration help. Email [email protected] for a quote.
- Is there a refund policy?
- 30-day no-questions money-back on annual plans. Monthly subscriptions cancel anytime in the dashboard and stop billing at the period end — no email, no phone call, no retention loop.
- Do you sell my data or train AI on my client info?
- Never. Client data is encrypted at rest and never used to train any model — ours or anyone else's. AI calls run with the relevant chart context only, and the model provider doesn't retain data past the request. We sign a DPA if your jurisdiction needs one.
- What's the BYOK toggle actually doing?
- BYOK = bring your own key. You connect your OpenAI or Anthropic API key in settings; Astrolium routes the chart-grounded prompts through your account and you pay the provider at their token rate. We remove the in-app credit cap and add nothing to your invoice. The key is encrypted at rest and never logged. Switch back to Astrolium-billed AI any time.
- Can I gift Astrolium to another astrologer?
- Yes — gift codes for any tier ship from the dashboard. Each code redeems for one month or one year at the corresponding rate. Useful for student gifts, school-cohort bundles, or workshop attendees. We don't charge a markup on gift purchases.
