Why a four-tier ladder instead of three?

Pro at $11 is the full solo toolkit — the complete chart suite (synastry, composite, Davison, returns), the full predictive stack (transits, progressions, solar arc, profections, with a printable dated hit-list), Jyotish, Human Design, Report Studio, and a starter Knowledge Base. Adept at $29 adds what a growing or specialist practice needs: Transit Scanner across your roster, a larger Knowledge Base, Horary and Electional Search, the Tree of Life, scheduled Report Studio runs, and Zodiacal Releasing. Master at $79 covers studios with team seats, white-label, transit alerts, and weekly digests. Each step buys a real feature line, not a quota bump.

What does BYOK mean and when does it kick in?

BYOK is "bring your own key." If you already have an OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter account, you connect your API key in settings — Astrolium routes AI calls through your account and you pay the provider directly. AI usage becomes unlimited, with no change to your Astrolium invoice. Available on Adept and Master only. We never store the key in plaintext.

How does Astrolium compare to Solar Fire ($360)?

Solar Fire is a $360 one-time Windows install with periodic paid upgrades. Adept at $29/mo runs in any browser, includes AI, CRM, knowledge base, and PDF exports — total over 12 months is $290 (annual plan), cheaper than one Solar Fire license. You also get cloud sync across Mac, PC, and tablet, plus continuous updates.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. Free covers 5 client profiles, unlimited natal charts, all 23 house systems, full transit navigation to any date, numerology, a watermarked natal-chart PDF five times a month, and .aaf chart import from Solar Fire. No AI credits included, no progressions, returns, or profections, and no Report Studio. Pull up your own chart and a date you actually lived through, and check whether the picture matches. Most practitioners hit the 5-client limit within a month, then upgrade to Pro ($11) for the full predictive stack and chart suite, or Adept ($29) for the client-management layer on top.

When should I upgrade from Pro to Adept?

The moment your client list outgrows manual tracking, or your work leans specialist: Transit Scanner queries your whole roster instead of one chart at a time, your Knowledge Base grows from 100 MB to 1 GB, and Horary, Electional Search, and Zodiacal Releasing are Adept-only. Pro already ships the full chart suite (synastry, composite, Davison, returns), the full predictive stack (transits, progressions, solar arc, profections), Report Studio, and a starter Knowledge Base — Adept is about running a practice at scale or reading question and event-timing charts, not the everyday techniques.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans cancel anytime via the dashboard — no email or phone call required. Before you go, the data export hands you a consolidated archive covering all 14 data domains we hold for you. Cancelled accounts drop to Free instead of being deleted: your five most recently active clients stay active, and the rest are archived, still readable and exportable.

Do you offer annual pricing?

Yes. Annual is roughly two months free across every paid tier: Pro $110/yr ($9.17/mo), Adept $290/yr ($24.17/mo), Master $790/yr ($65.83/mo). Switch from monthly to annual in the billing dashboard at any time.

Do all paid tiers include AI?

Yes. Pro gets 50 AI credits/mo, Adept 300, Master 1,000 — the same pool covers Sky, our AI assistant, and Report Studio generations. Any tier, Free included, can buy a $9 top-up as a one-time purchase, and those credits carry forward until spent. Adept and Master can also connect their own OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter key (BYOK) for unlimited credits. Report Studio writes documents in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, German, and Brazilian Portuguese; the workspace interface itself runs in English and Russian.

What happens when the Adept trial ends?

Nothing you didn't choose. The trial takes no card and never auto-charges. It runs for 14 days. When it expires, your five most recently active clients stay active on Free and the rest are archived rather than deleted — they stay readable and exportable, and paying later restores every one of them. Reports you already generated stay readable too.

I'm not a professional — is there a plan for my own chart?

Astrolium Personal, $12 a month. It's the same calculation engine pointed at one person: your natal chart, transits, Jyotish, Human Design, numerology, the Tree of Life, Venus returns, astrocartography, and Sky reading your own chart. What it leaves out is the practice layer — no client roster, no CRM, no invoicing, no custom Report Studio. If you read for other people, take a Practice plan instead.
