Refund policy

Annual plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee, full refund, no questions asked. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time; billing stops at the end of the current period with no refund for the portion already used. Founding member plans have a 30-day window from the date of the first charge.

1. Annual plans

If you are on an annual Adept ($290/year) or annual Master ($790/year) plan, you have 30 days from the date of the charge to request a full refund. No reason is required. The refund is for the full amount paid, with no deduction for the days used.

After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the unused portion. You keep access until the end of the annual period.

We send a renewal reminder 7 days before each annual renewal. If you missed the cancellation window and the renewal charged in the last 7 days, write to billing@astrolium.com with the subject line "Refund request" and we will refund the charge as a goodwill exception — once per customer.

2. Monthly plans

Monthly Adept ($29/month) and monthly Master ($79/month) plans can be cancelled at any time from account settings. Cancellation takes effect immediately in the system; you retain access until the last day of the billing period you have already paid for.

There is no refund for the current monthly period. The charge that already cleared is the charge for access through the end of that period, and we provide that access.

3. Founding member plans

Founding member plans are annual plans sold at the original launch price and locked for life. The same 30-day money-back window applies, counted from the date of the first charge. After 30 days, founding member plans follow the same no-refund rule as standard annual plans.

If a founding member plan renews and the renewal was genuinely accidental, email billing@astrolium.com within 7 days of the renewal charge and we will handle it individually.

4. Partial refunds for service failures

If Astrolium experiences a verifiable technical failure that prevented you from using a substantial part of the service during a billing period, we refund a proportional amount without requiring you to ask. The criteria:

  • The incident must be logged on the status page.
  • It must constitute more than 4 hours of unplanned unavailability in a calendar month.
  • The refund is calculated as a daily pro-rate: monthly charge divided by 30, multiplied by the days substantially affected.

We apply these credits automatically on the next invoice or, for cancelled accounts, to the payment method on file. If the automatic credit does not appear within 10 business days of the incident resolution, email billing@astrolium.com.

5. What is not refundable

  • Usage of AI interpretation credits consumed during the refund period
  • PDF reports already generated and downloaded
  • Services that were available and functional during the claimed period
  • Cancellations requested after the 30-day window on annual plans

6. How to request a refund

Send an email to billing@astrolium.com with the subject line "Refund request" and include:

  • The email address on your Astrolium account
  • The approximate date of the charge you want refunded
  • Whether you want the account closed or just the charge reversed

We respond within 2 business days to confirm receipt and within 5 business days to confirm whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your card issuer. We cannot send refunds to a different payment method than the one that was charged.

7. Exporting your data before cancellation

Before cancelling, export your data from account settings. The export covers your full client roster, all chart data, session notes, interpretation drafts, and any uploaded files. It downloads as a single JSON archive and an .astrolium bundle that can be re-imported if you return.

Export is available at any time during your subscription and for 30 days after your account closes.

8. What happens to your data after cancellation

When your account closes:

  • Your data remains available for export for 30 days.
  • At day 30, data is permanently deleted from the primary database.
  • Encrypted backups containing your data are purged within the following 30 days (total window: up to 60 days from cancellation).
  • Billing records are retained for 10 years as required by Estonian commercial law. These records contain transaction amounts and dates, not chart data or client information.

If you reactivate your account within 30 days of closure, all your data is restored. After 30 days, restoration is not possible.

9. Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback through your bank for a charge that is covered by this refund policy — rather than contacting us first — will result in immediate account suspension while the dispute is open. This is a payment processor requirement, not a punitive measure. We respond to all chargebacks with the refund-policy terms and a record of service delivery. Resolved chargebacks in our favor will not result in reinstatement of the account without a separate review.

If you have any billing concern, email billing@astrolium.com before involving your bank. We resolve billing disputes faster than the chargeback process.
